foodstick,I just got a large starter cone from sullivan,I was having the same problem with my starter now the cone fits good and spins the g-26 right up.I am using the dynatron.Had to make a flat spot in the starter shaft for the set screw witch does not come with it you will need a 3/8,s set scerw.If you make the flat spot good you can still fit the bolt to hold the small cone on if you like to switch back.I also switched my field batt.to a 12amp motor cycle batt.my 7amp field would not spin the g-26.so my set up is,12amp batt,sullivan dynatron starter,large cone.There are 2 large cones from sullivan I have the small one.Works great.
