So on Thursday it was all about trying to get something done with the elevator and nose gear. I had to file some of the OD of the strut to make it fit into the strut, but it fianlly gave in. I van not cut it shorter yet, I have to wait until I can mount it on the plane to measure the length. I aslo added apiece of light ply at the nose of the canopy opening (under the fuse) to hold the canopy in tight after I place two pins on it.
