RE: Yak, ugh....:(
When I started looking for my first giant scale plane, I was really set on an Edge 540 as I had a smaller one (60 size). Then, I started looking at Extras. Someone made the suggestion to look at a Yak. Well, I hated Yaks! I had only seen one fly out at our field and I always cringed looking at the thing. Still though, with an open mind I started looking at them. Hm, a few days go by - still ugly but the flight reports are really nice. After a week of looking at different planes the Yak had really grown on me.
So, I ended up buying one. Yea, still thought it was fairly ugly until I took it up. WOW! In the air it's gorgeous - it's a ferrari compared to anything else I've ever flown handling wise. Thinking back, I am so glad I didn't go with another airframe.
