I clearcoated my WACO with just less than two cans, and I did about four fairly heavy coats on the underside of the fuse, where the exhaust blows on the plane, and the cowl. The upper wing only got a light coat and a slightly heavier coat, just enough so the gloss was even over the entire plane. All the rest of the plane got two light and one fairly heavy coat. My wingspam is 58-1/2 inches on the top wing for comparison to your Skybolt
