I don't know if I can be of any help, but I surely enjoyed reading your post on this!.

Hattend is right, in that RC Report did a review on a "no name" Chipmunk with little or no instructions. The aileron function came under fire, as well. The plane flew so so with the stock ailerons, but after converting to individual servo for each aileron, the assessment was that it is a good flying plane and an OK kit for an experienced ARF assembler. It's in the April RC Report, you might find it helpful to check it out.
