I had the EXACT same thing happen to me on Thursday. Coming in for a landing in a gusty cross wind, huge gust hits my wing and l have to go full aileron to correct. However after the correction the plane was heading straight for the pits and flight line. I had no room to land or correct so I chopped throttle and nosed it in. Fortunately there was minimal damage to my plane as I was going fairly slow with minimal altitude. Much rather my plane gets damaged than someone else's plane or God forbid hurt someone.
