I am not sure about the gas/glow mix, but on a strait gas Ryobi the 13.5mm is not too large at all. It works very well. I use the same carb on my 25cc engines with great results. Good idle, snappy transition, and great top end. Being a 31cc the Ryobi should handle the carb well. But the gas/glow thing may make a difference.
