Default H9 Sukhoi-feedback

Reply to Falcon: Last time I checked it it was about 6800 but the prop is a plain old vanilla Zinger 24x10. There are a couple of extenuating factors: The engine is still pretty new and I am running it somewhat rich. I can tell however that the power level is up and getting stronger each time I fly it because the prop is barking louder at full power. I am planning on putting on my Menz 24x10 pretty soon and seeing what happens. Wally Pitts flew my plane the other day and said it flies more like a pattern ship than the Cap. Seems to think the Cap (h-9) is better for 3D stuff. He won a recent local IMAC intermediate with a h-9 Sukhoi. I think if I had a DA-100 in the plane, it could do anything. It is a very good snapper and can knife edge with no mix with a little help from the pilot. Even with the Zen 80, it has very good vertical ability. I will probably leave the Zen 80 in the plane and save my DA for something else as I do not like to change engines in a plane once I have gone to the trouble of setting it all up. If I put in the DA, I would probably have to go pull/pull on the rudder to keep balance right without adding weight. (The DA is 6 1/2# with muffs and ignition and duralite battery). Right now, with the Zen, it balances at back of wing tube with no added weight. My (2) 1700mah Nicads are just in front of the tube. Of course, there is no battery for the Zen, but it does have the spring starter. Weight is 25.5lbs on my Bass Pro fish scale. NSSHERLOCK.
