As a quick guess I’d say your FA-72 has eaten the o-ring on the intake. Going to pot in 20-30 minutes running time is the way that usually shows. Valve adjustment shows up much more slowly.
If you look at the upper end of the intake pipe you probably will se the thin aluminum washer turned into a cone, might even be pushed back on the pipe past the end of the smaller diameter section.
Strangely the FA-82, even using the same part number back plate, doesn’t have the vibration problem – the carb starts vibrating and it literally hammers the o-ring and chews it up.
The only “Fix all with no exceptions” cure I’ve found is two turns of 0.022” safety wire around the cylinder and the intake pipe, right where the pipe comes out of the carb. Pull it tight and tie it off, no more trouble. Do be sure to replace the o-ring and the aluminum washer before you put the wire on, of course.

I haven’t tried a Zip-Lock, one might work as it doesn’t get too hot there.
