I attempted to get into rc airplanes about 5 years ago by buying a kyosho soarus sport glider. Well it was a bust and i sinced moved to nitro. But recently i have been feeling the need to fix it up.

Here is the situation
the plane is very heavy, flew twice with the trainer, but crashed twice on hand launches. The battery pack is flipping huge and ways alot. 7 cell nicad. I am not sure what the motor is as the directions don't say. I think it is a 300 turn motor. It produces a very little power and ways a ton also. I think i am prepared to get a much better engine, better esc, and a lipo battery. I have around 300-350 dollars to spend. What should i get.
