If you ain't current - it don't matter -
I am current in the F-18F - and in that airplane it still don't matter. I've come home with the airplane weighing only 60% of what it weighed when I left, and the flight control system is good enough to make any changes in flying qualities (except in roll) nearly transparent. I've never noticed a significant connection between CG and aileron effectiveness, at least not in "controlled flight".
