Default RE: Waterproofing Fun Factor

I just put the servos and radio in baloons and then zip-tied around the cords. Then I just poked the screws through the baloons into the servo horns for the throttle and brake.

This worked great for me but I was careless and let the baloon on the throttle servo touch the center axle (on ATX) and it wrapped around GOOD. Took me 35 mins to cut all the baloon off so next time I will install the baloon and then use a belt of duct tape to keep everything tight!

Also, take a file and round off all the sharp edges of the plastic servo horns so they wont rip through the baloons so fast!

As far as the engine being cooled too fast....I run in deep snow with no body sometimes and everything just gets packed with snow...all you can see sticking out is the cooling head with piles of steam comming off....no problems yet

OH...one more tip...take a film container, turn it upsidedown, drill a SMALL hole in the center of the bottom, now slide the film container over your air filter and screw through the film container, through the plastic filter retainer and into the filter stem. This is not the best mod for performance but it keeps the spurr gears from spitting snow all over the air filter and soaking it. You will have to trim the film container to fit around the base of the carb properly.

Or you can just buy one of these...same thing.
