RE: Night Ranger 3D
Well I have never even seen a Night Ranger, other than the pics, but I will say that while it might be okay I would stay away from it personally. It does not have a driven tail, meaning it has a separate motor to drive the tail, and those have a lot of probs. The Blade CP is a similar design and it’s quite a handful to fly. A Raptor 50 is very easy in comparison. I’d suggest a T-Rex for your situation, which is the similar to the reason I bought 1. So I can fly it at home and at work when I can’t get to the field. At the field I’d much prefer to fly my Raptor 50.
However, the T-Rex is much more expensive. You’d be looking at about $800 for a T-Rex fully setup with mid grade components.
If you go with a Night Ranger I would suggest that the brushless upgrade and a li-po would likely significatly improve flight characteristics. At minimum get a li-po for it as it's already setup for that. You'll get lighter weight which results in better response and more than likely longer flight times as well.
