Ron, ive been thinking (phew!!) and it took me a while but i finally remembered what caused my problem that was just like yours, check the antanna wire(especially if your rx has been used a bit) right where it goes into the little case, mine was held by just 1 strand of wire and it was glitching bad, i soldered it and put it back together and waa daa, it was gone,(like my memory)

that might not be it but its worth a check[8D]
