Last evening I achieved my solo flight status!!! I have been working with many members of my club out on the flight line to learn the proper way to fly. Let me tell you, it pays of to learn how to fly the right way (with instructors). For me at least I felt that I progressed much quicker than if I were to teach my self. I have had many people in my club fly with me, which I thought was great. Why you ask, well I was able to gain the knowlage from lots of different people. I would pick up things from one that another may have forgotten. Anyway lets talk about the flight. I taxied the plane out to the flight line and told the instuctor I have been working on my take off's and I would like to take off.(NO BUDDY CHORD ON THIS FLIGHT)(I did use it in earlier flights) I proceeded to throttle up and off she went. the flight consisted of me working on low approches at idle and then powering out and going around (a loop and a roll here and there). My instructor standing beside me said "if you were 100 ft further out when you came in you could have landed the plane." So I went around, went further out started to make the turn towards the runway, cut the throttle and started to glide in. one minor coarse adjustment was made and a little up elv. and OOOOOOOOOOO WAS THAT LANDING GREASEY!!!!! I could not tell if I had landed or I was still in the air. Anyway Thanks to every one on this sight that gives great advise. It has really help me learn to fly. I would like to offer a word of advise to any newbie who reads this thread. Don't give up, FLY,FLY,FLY alot with an instructor. There may be some frustrating times involved with learning to fly but work through them, the pay off is unbelivable.

I always laugh when poeple on here talk about that funny grin that you can't seem to get off of your face. Funny thing, I have it!! It is a contagouse thing.
