I have a mini-max by the same maker, and I can tell you this thing does fly. I imagine the crazy max is a bit heavier, but the one I've seen fly at our golf dome does so with out problem.

Of course, I've seen only taxi take-offs....

What battery pack are you using? I use a 6-cell 720mAh ni-mh pack and get great results with that. My battery pack weighs 3 Oz (or 85 grams)
