The most likely other thing I can think of besides shock shafts would be the lower bolts that hold the shocks to the suspension arms. Other than that, I have looked through the entire manual for a Kyosho MP777 SP2, and the only other places where threaded steel rods are used are:

- Steering rod between servo and steering rack
- Steering rack uprights
- Chassis torque bars
- Brake/throttle linkages
- Tie rods
- Hinge for battery box
