Has the policy of not recommending Lipos to new pilots who are still crashing changed?
I think the lipo decision comes down to how careful a person is. If you're the type who tends to be forgetful (leaving batteries on charge over night) and takes short cuts (such as not confirming that the charger is set correctly) then lipos are not a good choice, you may set something on fire. If you are careful (don't leave them unattended and use caution when setting the charger) and buy a good charger, they shouldn't be a problem.
