Default RE: gp f-14 tom cat

You can expect a very manageable plane to fly. It looks good in the air, takes off and lands like a trainer. If you are nervous about speed, put a 12" prop on for the first few flights. When you get comfortable with it, you can then go to a 11" prop and it will get going a bit faster.

I would toss the ASP if it gives you any carb problems on the ground or in pre flight, as it could cost you a nice plane. Some ASP's had issues with high nitro fuel and would heat up with 15% nitro............then die for no reason. I have ran the ABC versions and they will do fine if the nitro content is lower than 15%. Keep it rich!

This plane is very predictable, smooth, and easy to fly. You should have no problems if you can fly a trainer well. I built my first one before GP distributed them to the public, and may have had the first one flying. I have had 4, all flew well. Hope this help you...........Dave
