There are dozens of good foamies available. My favorites are here:
http://www.chargerrc.com. I use cheap GWS receivers and a JR 9303 and I can fly farther than I can see. Just make sure the RX antenna is never cut or doubled-over on itself. It's fine to use an antenna-bobbin as long as the coils don't touch.
