The best setting is - where the engine runs best. There is no other answer.

The reason I say this is because propeller size/model/composition, glow plug type, fuel composition, ambient weather conditions, etc., all make a difference as to how the engine will run at any setting, so there can be no specific setting given for a glow engine that will be universally correct. I am not trying to give you a hard time. I am trying to educate you a tad. In the end, you have to twist the screw and analyze the results. Two turns out is a good starting point on most engines.
