I'm guessing the wing attachment is similar to the Sig Somthin Extra. There is a hook on the root rib of each half and a rubber band is used to hold them together. It's actually a good set-up and I never had a problem with hundreds of flights.
That is exactly how it is. Except that plane had metal eye hooks, this has ply wood. It should work OK, I just prefer the nylon wing bolts myself for that warm fuzzy feeling...
