Yes, we have been converting to the Metric system for a long time, but in everyday use here, SAE size nutz and boltz is the norm and just more convenient. If I'm not mistaken, the Russians were the last to switch from Metric altimeters to English foot units, so the old Imperial measures are not totally dead For ATC, Meters are too large a unit of measure.
