Not necessarily. Todays teens have much more challenging work at school, and I can attest to this from personal experience. I got started in R/C 6 years ago (without an R/C enthusiast dad, just a supportive one of any airplane related hobby ), and now, as a sophomore in college, I very rarely get a chance to build or fly. [] I have never lost my interest for R/C as I went through my teen years. Not a matter of not enough interest, just not enough time.

(Ok, ok I'll admit girls were and still are a big distraction, but my girlfriend is very supportive of my addiction! )
