I think the BEST is in the eye of the beholder.
Depending on your model and wants out of it.
Example=
I have the need for speed with my F-27 Strykers. I have one with a Himaxx 2815-3000kv and 3s lipos, this thing is smokin fast.
Also have another with a Mega 16-15-4 and 3s lipo. Very fast but no where near the Himaxx. But the difference here is the Mega is more than some could handle but doesn't draw the hi amps like the Himaxx does. So I can use smaller and cheaper lipos and still get great results.
So which one is better? The Himaxx with all out speed for 7 minutes and expensive lipos? Or the Mega a bit slower and longer flights and easier on the pocket?
I also have a Tiger Moth that is a slower model. Neither of the above motors would even be an option.
I have a Park 450 outrunner on it. Perfect for this plane, nice long flights, easy on the amps, more thrust than I really need.

So to answer this question= it's all in what model you have, want you want it to do and how much money you have. BG
