G'day Mate, just solder a threaded coupler onto the wire, I assume you know how to solder, if not clean the wire with sand paper so it is shiny, don't touch it as this will dirty it again. apply non acid soldering flux, then heat with iron & apply solder to "tin' the wire then tin inside the brass coupler, again using flux & solder, then heat the coupler & insert the tinned wire & don't move it until cooled, Bingo perfect solder joint.
