I have also had same intrigue except I have a Castle Craetion 35A ESC which has governor mode. I currently fly with programed throttle and pitch vurves. The latest updates on the castle creations ESC has made substantial modifications and several governor mode options for Helis but not sure how governor mode benefits. Someone told me that you waste more energy from the battery pack but didnt explain why. Some one else told me that in idle up ussing standard radio programed pitch and throtle you should not attempt hard flairups etc as can cause had linkages to snap out and that to be able to do hard flairups you required the Governor mode to be implemented.

If someone has experince with governor mode esc settings would be great to learn benefits adrw backs of implementing them.
