Default RE: Halon and Co2? different techniques needed?

ORIGINAL: turbine guy

Time for a new fire extinguisher for wet starts.

Either Halon/Halatron or co2

Is the c02 much colder than Halon and more likely to cause turbine damage when shot in the intakes?

Does the co2 need to be used differently( not into the intakes to prevent thermal shock) and just shot up the tailpipe?

Halons much more costly- but is it better for the occasional wet start?

Never fire an extenguisher up the tailpipe. You push some of the flame with it, which means you push a fire into the front of the model. Always start from the front.
