Default RE: Halon and Co2? different techniques needed?

I have a Halitron one now -I believe it's the EPA friendly replacement for Halon.

Is there a concern with damage to the turbine when it's at running temp and you shoot freezing Co2 or Halitron into the motor?

I've been told the c02 is right at freezing temp when exiting the extinguisher .

If cold temp damage can occur then shouldn't we use the "warmest" type of extinguisher available?

I would rather pay more for Halitron than c02 --IF c02 may damage the turbine.
