Default RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

Well I broke in a new motor today, Its the OS 18CVRX. Had the usuall problems but I got it to come around. The only OS I have experience with is the 18TM but this new little motor doesnt appear to be too bad. I find it slower in the top end over the stock 18SS but it has better low end punch also. Tomorrow night is race night so I guess I will see just how well it does then. I ran the stock motor last week and TQ'd but was unable to start the main due to a diff issue. I was quite surprised at how much I had to lean it down to get it running properly, at factory settings it wouldnt even spin the wheels, I ended up with the HSN around 3/4 to 1 turn out and the LSN was leaned but I dont know exactly how much. I have pretty good temps with it in the neighbourhood of 240-265 when nearing an empty tank. Anyways I just thought I would give another little "Plug" to OS and if anyone is thinking of buying this engine, I beleive you would be pleased with it.
