Default RE: Showtime

Mine has it. I like the way it flys and think it's a very nice plane. But I don't ever get where I can fully trust it. When it falls out of a hover for instance, it doesn't want to start flying again. I also can make it produce the deadspot on takeoff, if I want to. If you just pull very gentlly back on the elevator it will take off and start climbing. At about 3-4 off the ground it will just stall and fall clear down to the ground. Mine will do it every single time. If I pull just a little harder on the elevator, up she goes very nicely. I also notice a "falling syndrone" when I make an approach on landing. If I'm going down wind pretty slow and make a gentle turn into the wind it will stall and fall a few feet. I also notice it can be very difficult to fly out of an inverted flat spin. Whats to just keep spinning.

I enjoy the plane very much and if you fly it harder with more stick movement I don't even notice. But, it doesn't instill trust. At least not to me. For that reason, I like doing my serious 3D stuff with my Mayhem, UCDs or Velox.

My guess is everybody's Showtime does the same thing. Most are just flying them faster into the landing approaches and are "jamming" the sticks harder. When it's flown this way, no problem. Well, with the possible exception of when it falls out of hover. Another way you can test this is to put the plane on 3D rates (highest rates) and from straight and level pull full elevator. The plane snaps pretty bad in that maneuver as well all though this is different than the gentle stall problem that I see.

Anyways, you wanted to know.

Thanks
