Default RE: Showtime

Barry,

I've flown my Showtime in just about every flight envelope, speed, wind, etc.. and haven't experienced any of your issues. Mine will also not snap with too much elevator at any speed (believe me, I've tried). It will, however, snap out of knife edge if I get a little overzealous with the rudder. I don't have any problem with hover recovery or flight spin (inverted and upright) recovery, either. I'm no stranger to unfriendly, snap-happy planes and my Showtime is absolutely not one of them. It's almost too friendly at times. I can't describe any other way than 'easy' to 3D. I was more confident after 3 flights with the Showtime than I have been with just about any other plane I've flown (sans foamies).

Based upon my experience with my Showtime, if yours snaps badly with too much elevator it sounds like a setup issue to me. If it snaps/tip stalls out of a downwind turn, you're too slow! Or, try adding a little opposite rudder to keep the tail up.
