What would you mount the gear to? Would you replace the ABS fairing on the bottom of the wing and make a plywood mount?

Hello; I agree with everything I read here. The landing gear need s constant attention. I will replace it with a centre mount aluminum gear the next time it bends. It amazes me, and anyone else watching, how slow this plane can fly. I have a Saito 80 on mine, and I think that it's just about perfect for it.
