Fascinating! I suspected that the rubber mount may be actually worsening things. I wonder! Can anyone else with experience with this mount answer this question? It sure woulld be nice to lose the mount and get the CG back another 1/2 to 3/4".
Did you check out the picture of my engine mounted to my pitts?
My Pitts is the old Pilot kit and the cabane struts are slightly different from the GP kit. You can see a picture of my plane on the same thread. My cabanes struts are held on by 6 not 4 screws.
I think the tail struts are functional but I'm just quessing. I made a mistake on that last message and my copper tubing is 3/8 not 1/2".
