Default RE: does changing oil mix change tune on DA-50?

I'd do the switch after the contest especially if the engine is running good right now.

RCbugman, that blows my mind the the reduction in oil makes you need to richen the mixture. I was thinking just the opposite (thinking glow I guess). But I believe you 100%, you have been testing these engine more than anyone on the planet. Oil has more energy than gas? So running more oil is more HP per gallon? Seems like going to Amsoil would reduce HP then. Maybe I should stick to a mineral oil such as Stihl after break in. I have been thinking about what to use when I switch. I'm at about 2 1/2 gallons of Lawnboy Ashless on my DA 50. If someone is changing to BelRay HR1 they would have to also richen the mixture since I remember you saying that fuel consumption goes up 10% or so. Amsoil 100:1 would also raise fuel consumption, correct?

Adusting a carb is a big deal if you don't know how to do it. Took me a while to figure it out anyway.
