If I remember correctly, I beleive the "Kwik Fli Dance" was attributed to the (relatively) thin slab vertical stab. This is coupled with the fact that the straight wing does not contribute to directional stability. Again from memory of an article I read, I beleive it was Phil Kraft himself who found that increasing the the thickness of the vertical stab cured the "dance".
