RE: Bit OT, but how long is the grass at your field normally?
Ours is cut to 1.5in twice a week. Usually in the summer months grass goes into a dormancy and grows slower, so maybe in th esummer you can have the mower man cut it at 2in. Just a thought. Also if water is a problem set a empty Tuna can out on th elawn and water until it is full. This wil give you the proper amount of water for a deep root watering, you can water about 3 times a week like this. Just some thoughts. Also if you are fertilizing use a fertilizer with a higher potash content, grass is green and dosen't grow as much..
