There were two problems that DA fixed that I am aware of: One was the crank and bearings were bad on some models. The other was the pulse pickup for the pump in the carb caused the engine to flame out at idle when the plane was moved suddenly. I'm not sure if what you are describing is fixed by either of them. Maybe the crank if anything would cause vibration.

Some DA 50s below a certain serial number (I think somewhere in the 2000s) need to be overhauled as they have a problem. I think if you send it to DA, they will do it free of charge. I don't think they cover shipping.
