Default RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

gjeffers...

Crow is a combination of spoilerons and flaperons. Sometimes it's called "airbrake" also. You can only do it with planes that have flaps and ailerons. Like the Giant. Like and Ultra Stick. Etc. When you apply the "Crow" the flaps go up and the ailerons go down. Brings you to super slow flight in a big hurry. Many think it helps with "harrier" as well. And it makes landing very slow possible (short field, etc.). It's a fun thing to play with but I don't have that much experience with it. I had it a couple of years ago on a 40 size Ultra Stick. Pretty neat but I couldn't fly good enough to enjoy it. I have it set up on the Giant and plan to experiment with it. Should be fun. That's what made the 12Z a necessity. It programs those kinda mixes very easily. In spite of a long learning curve. Just plug it in like the manual says and "Crow". Other things that are cool about the Giant and the 12Z. I have it programmed to do "Crow" "full span ailerons (flaps and ailerons move as ailerons), I can just use ailerons if I want to without the flaps moving or I can use flaps without the ailerons. All with just the flip of a switch or knob. Pretty darn cool. I can also set my elevators to mimick my ailerons for a super fast roll rate. With 8 servos and a lot of radio I can really do a lot.

The result will probably be a nice crash while I'm fiddling with all the bells and whistles.

thanks
Barry
