RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!
Lots of these little planes don't fly well out of the box. If it turns left or right a bunch or porposes alot you need to use the little silver tabs that are in the instruction bag to set the elevators and rudder to a more extreme setting then the fommy pieces will do by themselves. If you have to set the elevators way down to keep the plane from flying up too fast or porposing you will get a lot of drag. Carefully heating the tail boom a bit with a hair drier and while it is warm bending it down a little is a good fix. Just don't over do it. You will find that even as a bi-wing at anything more then low power it will climb high and you will begin to worry about it getting away. Let go of the controls and only use power bumps to set direction to help a glide back. That is one reason for not flying in wind. It will just keep getting further and further away. Also- I would not remove the throttlle spring until you are use to flying the plane. When the spring is off you have to remember to manually shut off the power when you crash or land. You do that by removing the 7 screws that hold the two halves of the reciever together - four on the outer couners and three under the batteries - carefully pulling the halves apart and just slipping the spring loose from the stick - you can always put it back if you want). Good luck - let us know how it goes.
