Default RE: Robart Hinges: opinions

Well gee guys. I know what i've seen, and the package they came out of said Robart on it. Ease of installation does not necessarily make it a good hinge. I figure it this way, one hinge point, with one shear point, versus one hinge with several shear points. It's a no brainer to me. When all that happens in a crash is a slightly cracked upper D tube sheet and one slightly cracked rib, and 6 3/16" robarts on each aileron shear off, that pretty much convinced me once and for all. Properly installed, no hinge will pull out, so to me that's a non issue as far as the strength of the hinge. Give me a set of pinned in Dubro's anytime.
