Default RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

I bought a nice blue AA for my younger brother for his birthday a week ago at Wal-Mart for $40 and it wasn't flying that well. I took off the bottom wing, removed the throttle spring and did the diode mod and it flies 10x better, granted there has almost always been a slight/medium breeze here so I haven't had a chance to fly it in absolute no wind yet. Although sometimes it doesn't seem like it has a lot of thrust. One thing I noticed however is when I turn throttle it and let it off, the left motor stops spinning almost immediately while the right motor will still spin for another 3-5 seconds or so. That doesn't seem good and probably has an effect while flying it.

Anyone have any idea what might be causing the left motor to have some sort of friction? I'm hesitant to put any kind of oil/lubrication in there and i'm not quite sure how to safely take it off and apart while being able to put it back on. Perhaps it just needs some cleaning of some sort?

I'm planning on getting another AA soon for myself anyways. Perhaps i'll wait though because that jet model looks pretty cool; i'm pretty interested in how it flies in comparision.
