Ya'll,
I dropped a OS .18 TM pull-start engine into my Jato. But for the life of me, I can't get this thing started. When I was at my local hobby shop, they adjusted the needles to where they thought they should be and it eventually started. They adjusted a bit more, dropped in a new glow plug and the car ran GREAT for about 5 minutes.
I came to pick the car up the next morning, got it home and tried to start it up. I cranked and cranked and cranked the pull started (just the way i did the night before when it worked) and couldn’t get it started. Glow plug igniter was charged, sufficient fuel was in the tank, brand new glow plug that had worked great the night before, but the engine wouldn’t start. So I said, "screw it" and bought a starter box ("bump-starter") for the truck. When I put the car on the starter, the bump starter won't even make the flywheel turn over. I've tried and tried but the bump starter won't make the engine turn over, much less start. And I've pulled and pulled the Pull-starter and it won’t turn on.
What the hell is going on?
Any suggestions on what to do???
Thanks Ya'll,
Robert
