Default RE: Official HPI Hellfire Thread

Matt,

The Hellfire has honestly been the easiest to operate truck I have ever owned. I haven't had a bit of trouble tuning the engine.

I dunno if I just got lucky, or if HPI just has good stuff, but so far the ONLY problem I've had with the truck is the overmatched steering servo.

Unless they are now shipping them out with better ones, you'll definitely want to upgrade that to a metal geared servo. Then just swap the original steering servo with your throttle one and you're ready.

If you are planning on bashing only, you may want to investigate some of the other higher ground clearance trucks. But if you'd also like to race I don't think you can go wrong with the HF.

And as far as instructions, other than the 37 languages garbled onto the same page, they are more than sufficient.

In fact, being a racing noob, I found the sections on how to alter your handling settings very helpful.
