I finally ordered a GP Extra 300 yesterday and am in the process of deciding how to power it. After reading the "book" post on this plane it seems most are going for lots of power. I have a new Quadra 400XL at 4.1lbs with prop and muffler. It turned a 20 x 10 MAC at 7120RPM today and a fox carbon 19 x 10 at 7400rpm. That's about 24lbs of thrust.
With all the talk about ZDZ, BME, and DA I'm having a hard time seeing the advantage of investing another $400.

Any advise on what I'm overlooking would be appreciated.
