This seems like the appropriate time to announce the latest offering from FlyingBalsa. We have developed a "15" sized quick building profile model designed from the ground up for an electric motor. For those familiar with the PT Gyro and PT 25, this model is in the middle of these, size wise. We have redesigned the head and gimbal assemblies for fewer parts count and much simpler construction. The prototype is using an E-Flite power 15 motor and a 3S 2100 li-poly battery. Your favorite 300 watt motor should work fine. The kit is typical FlyingBalsa, which includes AreoBalsa blades, pre-bent landing gear, extensive hardware, and CNC machining of the kit parts.
