Not to confuse anyone, but I have always flown with thumbs. When I started flying helis, I found it was better to pinch than thumb the sticks (I used a neckstrap). To this day, when I fly helis, I pinch. When I fly planes, I thumb. And when I cover my eyes, I use my hands.
