that homemade lap counter is a great idea for someone that doesn't have the money to spend on a team orion counter but i have a team orion lap counter and i love all the options it has. i got to the track with friends and 3 of them have the same system and it give the hole group great feed back and lets us race and know every little detail of our friendly races. i have only been racing rc for 4 months and i believe that my gain in driving ability is mostly to blame on the team orion lap counter.
