Wow, while researching hinge gap sealing, I stumbled across a product on a sail plane site called "Gap Seal" It's clear, stiff mylar tape that has adhesive only across one half of the tape! It sticks to covering and it says it's flexible enough for smooth movement of the control surface. At $5.95 a roll ain't bad for the time and trouble it would save, just unroll, stick it and trim it! I think I'll try it and give a report on how it works. I have several planes to seal. The site:
