Should I blow off putting the OS Max .50 SX on my UCD .46 and put on the Thunder Tiger Pro .61? I don't own a 4-stroke[&o] so I want to make sure I have enough "go" in front of this plane with "2-smoke"! The .61 does 1.8 bhp @ 13,000 at 26 oz. The OS Max .50 is right around 16 oz. and does 1.8 bhp at the top of the rev limit. There is another 4000 rpm available (1000 practical) to the .61 after the 1.8 bhp power point but it has to carry another roughly 2/3 lb. (over 10 oz.) in engine weight. I guess it's a matter of thrust lbs. too. I am at that point of hanging the powerplant on and I had second thoughts. I wish I could find a .72 or .80 four stroke cheap! (Hint, hint) Now, I'd for sure trade my wife for one of those!
